Special notes:

1.

Before gaining independence Angola, Comoros, Djibouti (former French Territory of the Afars and the Issas), Guyana (former British Guyana), Mozambique were applying the Convention in their respective jurisdictions. At present their status in reference to Convention is unclear.

2.

Spain does not accept documents legalized in accordance with Convention in Gibraltar.

3.

Argentina does not accept documents legalized in accordance with Convention in the Falkland Islands and in the British Antarctic Territory.
